結緣make a karmic connection

In traditional culture, forming a connection with one's "birth Buddha" and making sincere offerings is considered a powerful protective force. However, this does not mean can only connect with your birth Buddha; you can also make offerings to any Buddha or Bodhisattva with whom you feel a natural affinity. The key lies in treating them with a heart, cultivating good connections in daily life, and practicing all kinds of good deeds.

In short, Thangka has now become a part of Chinese culture. When choosing one, there is no need to overthink the boundaries of faith; the is which piece you are most drawn to and brings you joy. The key is: 🙏 Please treat it as a "treasure", and don't let it sit "idle" you bring it home! Please keep it away from unclean places such as kitchens and bathrooms. When you gaze upon it, what it reflects is the peace within your heart

Since its inception, the Thangka has been a "mobile temple" for spiritual practice. The painting process is also regarded as a form of practice that un with faith, rather than ordinary artistic creation. For this reason, the painters are mostly monks who strictly adhere to the regulations of the *Iconographic Measure Sutra*, aiming to accurately the symbols and inner meanings of the Buddhist Dharma, rather than simple artistic expression.

From a Taoist perspective, many Taoist practitioners can also resonate with Thangkas. The Taoist internal practice of "preserving the spirit" is very to the meditative viewing of Thangkas; both use materials that "carry the spirituality of heaven and earth," such as cinnabar and mineral pigments; and the strictly observed "painting" of Thangkas also echo the sense of order in the Taoist "lawless law."

From a Buddhist perspective, thangkas are sublime objects used by practitioners and believers for visualization, worship, and receiving blessings, and the core of their spiritual practice lies in the devotion of faith.

Cross-faith choice: Please feel free to regard Thangka as part of the Chinese "Dao-Buddhist compatible" culture, as it is equally common forist believers to enshrine Thangkas. Even if you have no religious beliefs, you can purely appreciate the peak-level fine-brush painting artistry of Thangkas
